Abstract: |
A comprehensive study of the enterprise’s competitive potential under modern conditions is carried out in the article. Various scientists’ approaches to the definition of "competitive potential" are researched, the main tasks of evaluating the competitive potential of an enterprise are defined. Attention is focused on the necessity to form and develop the enterprise’s competitive potential taking into account its main components (production, labor, financial, marketing, management, innovation potentials). The main principles of the formation of competitive potential and its most important characteristics are presented are presented, in particular: systematization, mutual coordination, adaptability, innovativeness, integration of internal resources and opportunities, rational use of resources, high competitive status, achievement of goals, influence of external and internal factors, support on various stages of the enterprise's life cycle. An analysis of the main factors of the internal and external environments influencing the enterprise’s competitive potential is carried out. Methodical approaches to the enterprise’s competitive potential assessment are presented. The purpose, main tasks and indicators of competitive potential assessment have been clarified. The components of the integral indicator of the assessment of competitive potential are described. A sequence and scale enterprise’s competitive potential assessment is suggested and includes different ranks of enterprises in accordance with the level of competitive potential (high, above average, average, below average, low), which makes it possible to investigate the state and characterize the level of enterprise’s competitive potential. Based on this assessment, it is possible to determine strategies for the enterprise functioning and development in order to ensure growth of its competitive potential in the strategic perspective. |
